HOW TO FIND YOUR PHOTOS: There are several ways of finding your photos:

  1. Knowing the time you passed the photographer (The best way, if you remember the time!)
  2. Searching photos one section at a time (Hopefully you have a high speed WEB connection)

NOTE: (Please Read)
The photographer captured 4629 spectacular pictures of riders climbing and then descending the PCH 1 near Cambria. Searching for your photo may be tedious unless you take advantage of some of the computer programs built into this presentation.

All the photos were taken with newly developed remote controlled camera systems. Click HERE to see a short (2 min) flash presentation about how that equipment works. The downhill pictures (bikers moving at 25-30mph) are very difficult to capture manually. The automatic camera system captured stunning pictures of virtually every rider going downhill. Some downhill riders were missed due to unforseen trigger problems because of the high winds.

All the photos are organized by the time of day they were taken.

Try to recall or estimate the time when you passed the photographer and then use 'KNOWING THE TIME YOU PASSED THE PHOTOGRAPHER' section to find your photo. The photographer was situated about 21 miles from the finish (downhill pics). The uphill pics were at the same location but varied from the start depending on which ride you were on.

You may be interested in a little feature on our program that will help you determine the exact time your photo was taken. When you find your picture and put the mouse curser over the picture, a long number will momentarely appear. That number contains the date and time when the picture was taken, down to the second. The format is as follows: PYYMMDDhhmmssnnn - where hhmmss are the hour : minutes : seconds when the picture was taken.
